I live on McCormick Ranch Golf course and feel just a bit spoiled waking up to these beautiful views each morning.
Here’s a Flickr photo set of the golf course, so you can see more of photos of the course. Also you can subscribe to this photo set, so you will be updated as I add more pictures of this centrally located public course.
For more information about the specifics of playing on the centrally located public course, your can visit the McCormick Ranch Golf Club site.

A special service is being offered from the City of Scottsdale this weekend only:
Scottsdale is offering a special cell phone text messaging service to alert Downtown businesses about significant traffic emergencies, such as the unexpected closure of a major road or intersection, during the weekend. Subscribing to the weekend service is simple. Send the keyword “SBNEWS” to the number 25827 and you’ll be automatically subscribed. You’ll receive a return message verifying your subscription. The city will send texts ONLY in the event of a major road closure or problem that causes a significant and unexpected traffic diversion. Businesses may find it useful to subscribe to the service to alert customers who are on their way to an event or trying to head home. This service is offered free by the city, however, your carrier’s text messaging fees will apply.

Winter gets a bit crazy in Scottsdale with its continual stream of special events, and the City of Scottsdale keeps a events page on their web site for visitors and residents to keep track of what’s going on.
Scottsdale’s special events season is about to blossom.
From Super Bowl events to classic car auctions and the FBR Open golf tournament – residents and visitors can get information on what’s taking place when by visiting the city’s special events Web page at: http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/events/specialevents.asp
Traffic and parking information also will be featured on the page and once again, the city is teaming with the Arizona Department of Transportation to provide up-to-date traffic and parking conditions via the state’s “511″ phone system.
Enjoy the season – and remember the city’s special events Web site and ADOT’s 511 phone line are available to help plan your Scottsdale activities.
