I discovered a great low-cost solution for document shredding in central Scottsdale yesterday. After getting my car washed numerous times at the Genie Car Wash on the southwest corner of Shea Boulevard and 74th Street, and seeing a sign for document shredding in the window of Desert Storage, just to the south, I decided to stop in.
What a great value! For $5/box, they’ll shred your documents and personal files. For larger boxes, the charge is $8. And while the City of Scottsdale regularly offers a low-cost shredding service for $2/box, it’s not often offered at a time that works for me. Most retail outlets charge by the pound, which can add up very quickly.
At Desert Storage, I can stop in any time during store hours, which at this time are:
- 8am-6pm Mon-Sat
- 9am-3pm Sun
Compared to the other document shredding options, I’ve tried, Desert Storage is the most convenient and low-cost solution I’ve found!
