Here’s a quick view of the number of single family homes sold in Scottsdale, by zip code, for the month of September 2010. The map makes easier to see where homes are sold predominately.
- DC Ranch, Greyhawk, McDowell Mountain Ranch areas (85255)
- The Magic Zip code of 85254 (Scottsdale address, with City of Phoenix taxes and services)
- East of the Scottsdale Airpark (85260)
- South Scottsdale (85251 and 85257)
Tina Tamboer-Glatfelter of Lawyers Title shared some year-to-date statistics with me this week. Her report showed residential home sales in Scottsdale 85255 ranking #11 for all of Maricopa County for 2010 through October, with an average sales price of two to six times the ten zip codes in front of it.

This next chart gives more a slightly more detailed overview for each of the zip codes, which are listed from north to south. It contains four columns showing the number of homes sold, the average approximate size of the sold homes, average days on market (DOM), and the average sold price. The chart also makes it pretty clear as to the differences in size and price, as you move froim north to south. Homes in North Scottsdale are both larger and higher priced than the homes in central and South Scottsdale, giving lots of options to buyers who decide to live in Scottsdale.
What other kind of real estate information would you like to see for Scottsdale? More stats? More photos of the types of homes in each of these areas? Information about specific subdivisions. I’m open to ideas, so please share what you’d like to see.
Editor’s Note: This report was originally published, indicating results were for October 2010. Data is actually from September 2010. Report has been updated accordingly. 11/23/2010
