McDonald’s Rock ‘n Roll Car Show – Every Saturday at the Pavilions in Scottsdale

Corvette in Paradise

Every Saturday for the past 20 years, classic car enthusiasts have met at the McDonald’s on Indian Bend Road, just off the 101, in Scottsdale.  Cars and motorcycles start to arrive around 4 pm, and the show usually lasts until about 9 pm. There’s a DJ playing 50’s music, and on an average night, you will see anywhere from 250 to 500 classic cars and up to 150 motorcycles.

It’s a great event, one that we’ve attended for years. When my son was young, he quickly learned how to check the cars out up close, without touching.  It was a riot to watch.  Now at 18, he has a whole different perspective, and still loves strolling down the rows, looking for hot cars.  He is not alone!  The show is well attended by all ages.

People can stop into the Rock ‘n Roll McDonald’s or YC’s Mongolian Grill for a quick bite. 5 and Diner is across the street, along with quite a few other fast food restaurants, and a Starbucks.

If you want to show one of your cars, there are a few rules to be aware of.  If you are a classic car owner or and enthusiast, you can fill out the contact form at rockandrollcarshow.com, to get on an email list for show updates.  When I signed up, I got into an email conversation with Cindy Meitlewe, of carprusa.com, and learned that they were finalizing details with several car clubs and and classic car auction companies for future special events.  She suggested checking back into rockandrollcarshow.com for updates.
