Barry Broome, president and chief executive officer of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, was quoted in an article Phoenix Rising Like, Well, a Phoenix in the Wall Street Journal a couple days ago, where he reported that Amazon had signed a major lease for 1.2 million square feet of industrial space.
Plus, more good news:
Amazon is one of about a dozen companies that have signed major leases in the area this year, and five more are expected in the next six months, said Barry Broome, president and chief executive of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. Most of the companies are looking to expand manufacturing operations and to house inventory, he said.
One of the most positive articles I’ve read on the commercial real estate market in Phoenix in a long time.
