July 4th, 2010

I was looking for something to commemorate this year’s 4th of July, and thought of the huge U.S. flag that flies over the Toyota dealership on 16th Street and Camelback in Phoenix.  I’m always wanting to take a photo of it when I’m in the area, and today, I realized that what I really need to do is take my video camera.  It’s the largest flag that I think I’ve ever seen and it seems to float at full-mast even in the slightest breeze.

That flag would complement this video of Judy Garland signing the Battle Hymn of the Republic beautifully.  For now, you can just imagine.
