News this weekend says that the median price of house in Phoenix is now $25,000 less than in Tucson. While the article focuses on the Tucson market, it shares some interesting data about the Phoenix real estate market.
The two points that come to my mind after reading the article are:
- Comparing the Maricopa County market to Tucson really is an apples to oranges comparison.
- The Phoenix Metro real estate market is so diverse. From $30,000 fix-ups in central Phoenix to multi-million dollar estates in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale, the numbers do get diluted.
