I ran in Sunday’s Runner’s Den / Fiesta Bowl 5K in some very cool, crisp weather. We raced our way around Scottsdale, just east of downtown, cutting through the Indian Bend Wash on a very fall looking day.
I could tell you that I believe running, lifting weights, and eating healthy make me a better Realtor, but I’d also like you to know that running brings a smile to my face. I get to listen to my favorite tunes. Endorphins kick in. And sometimes, I surprise myself by being a bit stronger and faster than I think I am.
For me, life is very, very good when I’m running.

Did I mention that I like to run? Hubby got a great photo of Scottsdale, with an autumn look. http://is.gd/bWW2
I love the second photo, Dru – where you’ve just recognized your time. Your passion for running and the sense of accomplishment seems to beam from your face! Congrats on setting your personal record, as well. Woot!
Thanks, Calie. After taking five years off from being a regular runner/jogger, it’s been fun to train this past year and get my times back to earlier days. I guess I’m getting wiser about pushing myself and acknowledging that my body is getting older at the same time. I really was thrilled crossing the finish line!
Nothing better than crossing the finish line and knowing your determination and training has paid off. My foots keeping me down can’t wait to get back too it. Makes you feel good all over
Cindy, I agree. And you know the weird part is that I’m having a nagging foot problem now, so am having to cut back on my running. Cross-training is good, right?
