Do you have a pile of unneeded personal paperwork and old receipts that you’ve been wanting to get rid of, but don’t want to spend hours in front of your personal shredder or risk throwing them in the trash? Last month, I spent several hours, shredding old information that we didn’t need any more, and I sure wish I’d know that I had this option from the City of Scottsdale coming up!
Residents are invited to dispose of up to four boxes of personal documents for free during a shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 at Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road.
The Scottsdale Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit and the Citizen and Neighborhood Resources Department are partnering to present this community event.
Vista del Camino’s food bank and Adopt-A-Family program will have collection boxes available at the event for donations.
Representatives from many city departments also will be on hand to answer questions about city government, crime prevention, fire safety and more!
