No Time Change in Arizona

by Dru Bloomfield on March 8, 2008

After all these years of living in Arizona, and having relatives in Colorado and California, I’ve finally figured out a way to remember what time zone we are in.

  • In the winter, Arizonans (Zonies) are in the Mountain time zone.  Think skiing in the mountains, in the winter.
  • In the summer months, we, in Arizona. are the same time as Pacific time.  Think California beach, where a lot of us head in the summer to cool off.

At last, an easy way to help me keep track of what time is it in other parts of the world.

And another important reminder:

Even though we don’t change our clocks in most of Arizona, it’s still a good reminder to replace your smoke alarm batteries, just like they do in the rest of the country.
