Scottsdale Sewage Rates are Determined by Winter Water Usage

February 15th, 2008 by Dru Bloomfield · No Comments

Looking to keep your costs down.  Here’s a good way to be aware of:

RESIDENTS NEED TO KNOW — WINTER WATER USE DETERMINES SEWAGE FEES

Residents have an opportunity to comment on any unusual amount of indoor or outdoor water use they experience during December, January and February. Sewage fees are based on 90 percent of the average water consumption billed during those months. If a resident is filling a pool, experiencing water leaks, planting a winter lawn or having extensive landscaping done, water use during this period may influence their annual sewer usage fees.

New sewer usage fees based on this time period are not effective until July 2008. Residents can comment on water use by filling out a “wastewater adjustment form” available at www.ScottsdaleAZ.gov/utilities or by calling Water Resources at (480) 312-5685.
