I met a kindred spirit at the National Association of Realtors convention in Vegas last week. Mike Price of MLBroadcast and I have a common vision of what the future can be, at least in terms of real estate and on-line marketing and blogging. My first move when I arrived at the convention was to text Jay Thompson (aka The Phoenix Real Estate Guy) to find out where the blogger booth was. Jay was one of the first speakers of the day and I wanted to make sure I heard what he had to say.
Once I got to the booth and started connecting with all these other more experienced real estate bloggers from around the country, I was hooked. When I first started blogging several months ago, I felt like I’d just arrived to a really great party, late. Meeting the writers who I’ve been reading and learning from the past couple months was awesome…. it reminded me so much of when I started programming computers in the 1970’s. The beginning of an era is so filled with promise, and excitement, and collaboration. That’s what my introduction to blogging has been like.
I woke up this morning to find myself featured on Mike’s Corner - Real Estate’s “New Rules, New Tools” blog. Thank you, Mike! Real estate blogging is a great tool, and I’m grateful to you and the many other bloggers who had the foresight to forge ahead when there was no path to follow.
