The City of Scottsdale has just completed some major renovations to Chaparral Park and tomorrow is a day to explore and celebrate.
The City of Scottsdale is hosting Community Day at Chaparral Park from 1 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov, 17, with free fun-filled events. Opening remarks and park extension grand opening will be at 1 p.m. at the new north ballfields, followed by the public art dedication at 1:15 p.m. at the Xeriscape Garden and Public Safety Day kick-off at 1:30 p.m. at the soccer field.
Other activities include:
- Chaparral Park Extension Grand Opening - Explore the new park features, including the Off-Leash Area, the Xeriscape Garden, Water Treatment Plant, ballfields and more! Enjoy tours, a pet parade, scavenger hunt and other activities.
- Public Safety Day - See firefighters and police officers in action and learn how to keep you and loved ones safe. Lots of exciting demonstrations, displays and activities for children of all ages.
- Youth Football Clinic - Get Super Bowl fever at this exciting clinic for children ages 7 to 14. Sponsored by the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee and put on by Scottsdale Parks and Recreation.
