This email came across my desk this morning and gave me cause to pause. I live across the street from one of the many Scottsdale resorts. One where visitors walk down the street to the local drug store, or to catch a bite to eat at my favorite bagel store.
This past summer I noticed a more visitors out walking, but didn’t give it much notice, except to think that it was pretty dog-gone hot to be out walking in the middle of the day.
Now from the City of Scottsdale, we hear:
Scottsdale Continues to be Popular Visitor Destination – Even in Summer
Scottsdale has long been considered a top leisure destination during winter months. Now a new survey shows the city’s appeal extends to summer.
Scottsdale ranked No. 6 in the nation for summer leisure destinations according to a survey of jet owners conducted by Flight Options LLC, a Cleveland-based private jet company.
Topping the list were Las Vegas, Aspen, Jackson, Wyo., Hailey, Idaho, and Eagle County, Colo., followed by Scottsdale.
I’d say that this is a pretty nice crowd of destinations to be hanging out with, especially in the summer!
More information on Scottsdale tourism is available by visiting the Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureau.
